Just noticed all of my products are actually categories… I wondered why when I pressed on the ‘product’ in the menu it took me to another main page, then I had to click on the product itself.

What is best practice here? I made a new product and dropped it under the menu where it belonged and noticed ehat was going on…

Does it have any effect on SEO at all? I think I would prefer them all to be product as it’s one less page to click on…??

    Hi there,

If you want your products to be linked to directly from the menu, you can add your products to the menu without adding a category. Just make sure you have “Products” showing in your screen options on the menu page, and then you can see your products to add:

There’s no significant impact to SEO with either choice, it’s just up to you to determine how you’d like your site to be set up.

Hi, so just delete the category and add the product instead?

    Hi there,

Yes, you can remove the categories you don’t want from the menu and then add in the products if you prefer.
