    Hey Joris,

I really love your plugin and it was easy to create the feed for Facebook. But I am struggling with the creation of the feed for GMC since I plan to sell Clothing and I need “gender”, “age_group” and “color” for that. I created custom fields for these attributes on products and product variations. But it seems like your plugin is ignoring these custom fields. Or do I get it wrong and I should use attributes for that?
I followed your instructions before posting here and still no values from custom fields.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Regards
    Nils

    Edit:
I just tried it with product attributes. No values for gender or age_group. But when I use the dynamic attribute of the variations as color, I get the color value.

  • I think maybe we are having the same problem where product variations will not pick up the custom fields added in the product attributes section? https://wordpress.org/support/topic/product-variations-and-product-attributes/

Yes, I think so too, but I wanted to create another topic to describe it more in detail. I still have enough things on my to-do list for the launch of my site, but when there is no fix until then, I will try to fix it myself.
Maybe we are just doing something wrong and there is no fix needed. 😀

    @nexar,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with it. I love to help out but need your help for that.

Could you go to the “Manage feeds” page and add this to your URL &debug=true

Your URL should look something like this now:
    ….wp-admin/admin.php?page=woosea_manage_feed&debug=true

On the screen you should now see a box with a red line on the left side. Could you copy / past the content of that box and e-mail it to me (support@adtribes.io)

It will help me to understand how exactly you have configured your product feed and what might be causing the issue at hand.

    Thanks again.

    All the best,
    Joris

    Hey Joris,

did you receive my feedback and logs via e-mail?

    Hi Nexar & Kandap,

I will push out a release this evening that solves the bug with Dynamic and Product attribute mappings. The issue at hand should be solved than.

    My apologies for the inconvenience.

    Have nice weekend,

    Hi Nils,

Just to let you know that I have just pushed our a new version of the plugin (version 2.0.2) that should fix the issue at hand.

Could you re-run the project and see if the attributes are in? If they are not you would probably have to configure a new product feed to get it to work.

Please let me know if it worked out. My apologies for the bug.

    All the best,
    Joris

ps: thanks again for the positive review!

    Hey Joris,

unfortunately it’s still not working for me. Now I don’t even get the custom attributes for the products without variations working. I just tried it twice with new feeds, but neither product attributes nor custom attributes seem to be working for me now. 🙁
I will send you the debug logs via E-Mail.

    Nils

Hi- This is working for me! I only have one product with variations so I went into the product edit screen -> variations screen and made sure the pull down menus had the correct value for each custom product attribute per each variation. It’s populating the feed fine now for each variation.

Only one issue, the feed is showing the Product Title as Product Name Color Color Color Color. (Our variable for the one product is a color choice between black and beige). I’ll send a debug file in email.

    Thanks Joris!! Getting so close!

    Karen

I will close this issue as the custom field issue has been solved. Will follow-up on the color issue by email.

    All the best,
    Joris
