Hi there!
Thank you for providing the URL and screenshots.
I’ve checked this and I’m also able to reproduce the same behavior.
However, by default WooCommerce does not allow selecting two different variation attributes from the same attribute group in a single product URL. Even if identical values exist across multiple attributes, WooCommerce still expects each attribute to be uniquely mapped and matched against a valid variation combination.
Because of this, what you’re seeing is not considered a WooCommerce bug. In most cases, this type of behavior happens when another plugin or customization is interfering with how variations are being parsed or applied on the product page.
For testing purposes, could you please:
- Create a staging site
- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce
- Then try reproducing the issue again
This will help confirm whether a plugin conflict is causing the unexpected attribute selection behavior.
Once you’ve tested this, please let us know the result and we’ll be happy to investigate further.
Just got confirmation that it’s an Astra theme bug. They are working on a fix.

Hi there!
Thank you for the update and for confirming the issue source.
I’m glad to hear the Astra team has identified the bug and is working on a fix. Since this appears to be theme-related, I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved from the WooCommerce side.
