Product variation

Hi- I am getting errors from Merchant Center that there are duplicate items in my feed. I believe it’s because of a product with variations (products that come in multiple lengths). Looking through your doc, I see that MC requires item_group_id but it doesn’t appear as a choice in the dropdown for optional variables.
How do I resolve the duplicate item error?
