Product sorting in a category doesn’t work
We have been working hard to get our own sorting of products in categories working but it’s impossible to get it displayed in our sorting order.

Hi. Strange … I have tried a lot of different ideas but none seems to work … So even a plug in and some php code for alphabetic sorting didn’t work for me.
Can you provide me with a solution for alphabetic sorting that works?

Hi again. Sorry for not being more accurate on what I mean that the sorting of products doesn’t work. So this is what is not working:
1. We have sorted our products in each category in an order we would like to see them presented on the front end while viewing the products in one category. We have used the “sorting” function in the Category and moved each product in the order we would like to view them on the front end.
2. We have tried different sorting order settings in Admin and in the available selections in Divi for such display module but none seems to work so it displays that specific order of the products in a category.
3. We would also like to have a choice for alphabetic order and as mentioned we have tried both PHP snippets and plugins without success. So if you have any solution for that it would be great.

We have now selected price from high to low sorting order that works but we would rather have our own sorting order selected in the category and if that is not possible use alphabetic sorting.

You can try utilising the “Menu order” field in product settings to custom-sort the catalogue.
The lower the number, the higher the product will be placed in the catalogue. Just note this will be applied to all archive pages like category, shop, tag, etc.
