Hi dapo,
Could provide us a URL to your Catalog page so we can take a look and see what’s going on?
Also, do you have a caching plugin setup? That could maybe help your website perform faster. If you need help with that, here are some guides I found on google:
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-install-and-setup-wp-super-cache-for-beginners/
https://themeisle.com/blog/wp-super-cache-tutorial/
Hi jaysupport,
Thank you, the site is http://www.educativademorelos.com.mx/
Actually this specific webpage does not contain the catalog, but I do have the plugin installed for the page http://www.educativademorelos.com.mx/catalogo
I do have cache enabled.
Any suggestion is more than welcome.
Thank you again
Thank you for the information, I did not see our plugin on your catalog page. It looks like you’re actually using WooCommerce and not our plugin. Did you remove it?
Anyhow, with regards to our catalog, slow loading time can be a result of few things which you can look at/change:
– First, make sure the “Product Search” option (in the “Basic” area of the “Options” tab) isn’t set to “Name, Description and Custom Fields”. The custom fields part can add quite a few queries, which has the potential to slow it down. Try any of the other options.
– Also, try removing two of the three layouts. For example:
[product-catalog id="X" excluded_layouts="Detail,List" starting_layout="Thumbnail"]
This will cut the amount of queries by two-thirds.
– You can also try enabling “Thumbnail Support” (in the “Basic” area of the “Options” tab).
There is also the possibility that your server doesn’t process the database queries quickly, which wouldn’t help with the catalog performance.
