    Hello,

The other day I came here to take a question about the width of the sidebar.
And work well.. In the desktop, but for mobile the width stay fixed..

My question is if I can change the width of the sidebars separately without affecting the responsive.

    Thanks,

    Kaio

Hi kaio. The theme is designed to use fixed-width sidebars. The adjustments made in responsive mode are based on those widths. If you modify the sidebar width without adjusting the responsive media queries you will most likely have problems.

    Hi, bdbrown.

So. I can’t change the width of my sidebar without change the responsive?

Because I have changed the primary sidebar and now I need to change the secondary.
But… the background of secondary don’t fixed like i did with the other.

You can make whatever changes you like. I’m only saying that the theme, as a whole, is designed to use fixed-width sidebars. If you change it in one place you may have to make other changes as well.

The theme is not designed to use variable-width sidebars. It uses a combination of fixed width, background images and negative margin offsets to position the sidebars. I”ve never been a proponent of trying to manipulate major structural components of the theme. If changing the sidebar widths is a high priority for your site then you might look for a different theme that offers that option.
