I have had immense difficulty with Subscribe2 for the last year or so with emails not being sent.
I understand that the notification emails have to come from the same domain as the website. I don’t normally use the email system of the domain but set up an email address on it specially for Subscribe2. This worked for a time.
But following the recent brute force attacks on WP Sites, I’ve got rid of the admin username and created another one. I’ve set the “send email box” to the new user and made sure that the email address for this is admin@thecorrectdomain.
But now the emails are not being sent again and I get this message
“Message failed! Check your settings and check with your hosting provider Could not instantiate mail function”.
Been round the houses so many times checking everything I’m driving myself slightly mad.
Any clues what I could be doing wrong please?
