    Hello,

I used OpenTickets last year and it served me will. So first of all, Kudos for that.

But now, unfortunately, I have a problem. After not using it for a long time, I made a backup yesterday and updated my WordPress installation and all plugins (WooCommerce, OpenTickets, etc.). After that I started to create a ticket, but I cannot set a date for my event. OpenTickets is just not saving the date. After adding the start and end-date and hitting save, the forms are blank again.

    What I tried:
    Reinstall OpenTickets -> no joy

deleted all tickets and products and created new ones -> no joy

deleted the new Version and uploaded my backup -> I am able to set the dates with the old installation, but I am not able to generate tickets. I am getting the message:
“An error has occurred while attempting to view the ticket
None of the tickets for this order could be found.”

In my order view I can see, that no event is assigned to the order.

As I am not completely familiar with OpenTickets, I am running out of thoughts. I would like uninstall everything, including database entries, and start from scratch. But I don’t know, how to do this. Any other tip is welcome off course.

I find some additional information. After checking the status page of OT, I tried to rebuild the database and to re-synchronize the orders. As a result, I got the following:

    select count(order_id) from wp_qsot_event_zone_to_order test where 1=1 and event_id = ‘0’ and ticket_type_id = ‘1046’ and quantity = ‘1’ and order_id = ‘1331’

So it seems to me, that the event link is not working, because I do not think, that the event_id should be 0.

@kingbuzzo could we perhaps get a login to the site? If we can, if you can email that to info at opentickets.com with username opentickets we’d be happy to take alook.

If you cannot, we’d have to get on a screen share in order to help and that could take more time to schedule.

If you can provide a login please put in subject line ‘kingbuzzo from community forums’ so we can easily associate the login with this query.

Thanks. We’ll try and help you out.

    Hey,

thank you for the reply and the offer to check it. As it was urgent, I started from scratch with a fresh WP installation and it is working fine again. After creating the first test orders, I noticed, that I cannot find the option to create a PDF ticket, which was possible in an older version of OTCE, if I remember correctly. Did you guys remove this feature?

Also I would love to have a function to check-in tickets in the OTCE backend. Is this maybe possible with one of your addons?

@kingbuzzo that checkin in the backend is a good idea, and is on our backlog of items to deploy. We’re thinking of adding it to the Attendees report since that seems the logical place.

Would love your opinion. Would you think a simple box with a check to press would be good?

This would be like the ‘Complete’ button on the ‘Orders’ top page in WooCommerce. What do you think?

    Hey,
    thank you for the reply.

I think it would be sufficient to have a button in the attendees report. For myself it just would be a backup solution if there are problems with QR check-in. I am using OT for an open-air festival with limited internet access. We use cellular internet in our check-in booth and from time to time there are problems with it, so we have a list that our people use to check the validity of the ticket. After that I just need a quick option to check in the tickets manually.

    Greetings,
    kingbuzzo
