Problems with header responsiveness

    Hi, Tobias
    I am experiencing problems with the header responsiveness. When I opt-in the “Enable horizontal scrolling…” the header and rows cells are not aligned.

    When I turn the option off, the table seems to be fine but on mobile, it increases the width of the page.

    Fixes from this thread did not help https://wordpress.org/support/topic/header-for-table-not-aligned-with-content/.

    I’ve attached a link to a page where I have 2 tables. One with enabled horizontal scrolling on, one with off.

    The responsive extension plugin extension did not help.

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    Instead of using the “Horizontal Scrolling” checkbox, could you please try the scroll mode of the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/ ? That also adds horizontal scrolling, but in a different technical way.

    I’ve added the responsive=”scroll” parameter to the shortcode and it works great! I could not figure out how to turn it on. Thank you Tobias for the quick solution. You are a hero.

    EDIT: Btw. on mobile there is a missing border when I swipe all to way to the end of the table: https://prnt.sc/vv2jrr.

    Hi,

    great to hear that this worked now!

    I’m not sure about that missing border though, sorry. I don’t have an iPhone to test and it’s working in Chrome’s iPhone simulator on a desktop…
