    Hello,
I usually try working out my problems myself and avoid posting here but this time I seem to have reached a dead end and would appreciate any help you guys may have to offer.

I am having problems as I try to add a new page to an existing menu in the admin panel. As I click on the ‘add to menu’ button it seems as if it begins loading and processing the action (round icon thingy goes on and on next to the buttn) but nothing happens, the loading just persists and doesn’t do anything. On a possibly related note, I experienced similar issues before trying to update widgets (those issues eventually resolved on their own, so I paid no mind to them)

I’m using the PageLines Lite theme as my parent theme and have tried changing themes to the Twenty-Eleven theme to make sure this isn’t a theme problem but the problem persist. I attempted re-installing WP and still a no go.

Any advice or thoughts on what may be causing this ?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default 2012 theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

How many items are already in this custom menu?

There are only 3 items in the menu, I tried switching themes and that’s not the problem.

I haven’t tried deactivating all plugins as I’ve done changes to menus before with almost all of them already installed and figured that’s probably not the reason – would you recommend doing that before resetting the plugins folder ?

Could any issues be caused by doing that reset ? If not, I guess it couldn’t hurt either way.

    Thank you.

    I tried switching themes

You specifically need to try switching to the default 2012 WordPress theme.

Could any issues be caused by doing that reset ?

No – any changes should be temporary only.

The ‘Code Snippets’ Plugin was causing the problem. Resolved.
