Problems unzipping WordPress…

    Can someone help? I’ve downloaded the tar.gz file, and

    gunzip < file.tar.gz | xvf –

    yields: gzip: stdin: not in gzip format

    while

    tar xvzf file.tar.gz

    yields: gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
    tar: Child returned status 1
    tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

    Help is greatly appreciated. 🙂

    Please grab the *.ZIP version and use that, there was a thread previously about the *.TAR.GZ not being good.
