    I am wondering if wether you have an image in the subject or a featured image makes a difference? I seem to be getting a hit miss result so trying to narrow down things will post back here if I find a solution

    Hi,

    You mean image in description vs featured image?
    Yes both are treated and saved differently by WordPress. For Instagram, you need a featured image.
    In description, you may have more than one images. That’s why featured image needed to post to Instagram.

    Thank you for the incredibly prompt reply. Thanks for the answer to my question. Now. I use a plugin called wordpres automatic. It has the abilty to find a post on youtube grab it and create a post in wordpress, then publish it. Great! But I am going to look into it and ask the developer if when it creates a post with the video it can create a featured image BEFORE it publishes as I think at present its creating the featured image via another plugin AFTER it publishes which I think is no good for your plugin to send to Instgram!
