Problems since the update
-
Ever since the update I have been having some noticeable problems which yesterday seemed to resolve themselves after a while, but today they were back and gone again.
1. The slider in the front page has gone bigger and is now covering the writing on that page.
2. The menu is no longer horizontal at the top of the page but vertical at the top right hand side.
3. The layout on the rest of the pages is changed, “minor” things like text not centred, “minor” because they still make the page look sloppy
4. Some plugins seem to stop working. It looked messed up on my phone too and I asked a friend to check it on her computer and she said the menu looked really bad and that I should keep it the way it used to be.
Like I said it is ok for now, but I am afraid this will continue happening since this webpage is my portfolio so it has to look great 24/7, plus some schools are going to be looking into it soon to decide whether they accept me into their programs or not, so like I said I need it to be running at its best.
Please let me know if you have any ideas as to why this is happening and what I can do to stop it.
In case it helps the webpage is
Thanks.

well it was working, the slider doesn’t always feels like showing up though.
Hi,
I see this in your page:
<link rel='stylesheet' id='customizr-style-css' href='http://www.seijas.pe/wp-content/themes/customizr/style.css?ver=3.2.15' type='text/css' media='all' />
But http://www.seijas.pe/wp-content/themes/customizr/style.css?ver=3.2.15
shows 3.3.12So .. the only other reason could be a server side caching issue.
Basically there are old “pages” calling “new” resources..
I see:<!-- Performance optimized by W3 Total Cache. Learn more: http://www.w3-edge.com/wordpress-plugins/ Page Caching using disk: enhanced Served from: www.seijas.pe @ 2015-03-14 16:30:21 by W3 Total Cache -->Would you try to delete your W3TC’s cache?
Sorry, this is my first time trying to built a site so I don’t understand anything that has to do with coding. I am trying to stick to the wordpress platform and plugins so I don’t think I deleted or tried to delete my W3TC (don’t even know what that is)
Is there a way I could try to fix what I did?
Thank you
🙂 This has nothing to do with coding don’t worry.
W3 total cache plugin. I asked you if you wanted to try deleting its cache. In the plugin settings/options pageI doubt it. I realised you where talking about that plugin so I googled it and there is a bunch of things they recommend you do before installing it so it runs properly, I didn’t do any of those things, so I am assuming that might be the problem. I just deactivated it hoping it will fix the problem, and to deal with my site’s speed I am using a cache control tool that I found o iPage’s control panel. Do you think that should fix the problem? I really have no idea, I’m just crossing my fingers… lol
Thanks for your help
