    Hello everyone,

after upgrading to WP 3.9 and then to 3.9.1 it is not possible anymore to write something in the text box to create new posts.
The “function buttons” (choosing headlines, bold, italic, link…) are no longer displayed in the visual editor.
Between the “Visual” and “Text” header I can not change. Both are not working.
Already existing posts do not show any content in the text box anymore.
(On the website, lucky, the existing posts are displayed as usual).

After reading about this problem in the internet, so far I have tried this:

    – With different browsers (Firefox, Chrome and Safari)
    – emptied the cache
    – Replaced editor plugins like TinyMCE Advanced
    – Made entry in the wp-config
    – Converted Theme
    – WordPress newly updated

What else could I do to be able again to create new posts?
I am happy to get some advices. Thank you!

    Converted Theme

    To what?

    Have you tried:
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder.
    – switching to the unedited default, core-bundled Theme (such as Twenty Fourteen) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.
resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).
MANUALLY re-uploading all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first!
