i returned back to version: 1.3.65 in this version this feature work correctly
In 1.3.66 there is the new option “Ignore for default language”, under “PRE-PATH” mode, that allow you to remove any language information for default one.
Check that is disabled

I tried several times, with this option turned off and on!
siepre the result was the same in my tests! if successful, the SLUG not appear in the URL
which options have you set?

the menu is not personalized, I just dragged the main menu items.
In version: 1.3.65 this is working correctly, apparently something got damaged (at least for me) in version 1.3.66
I hope you can fix.

can you check if 1.4 works correctly?

Before enable 1.4 you have to disable the other one version and if something goes wrong you just disable the 1.4 and enable the older one
