    Hello

Lately when I’ve been using Yoast, it comes up with a great deal of problems on each page which are not true. For example, it will say my keyword is not used in the first paragraph, when it is used in the first sentence!

Then the readability is always wrong – it says that I’ve used three consecutive sentences with the same word. I’ve not even used three in the whole page, let alone consecutive. It also says I’ve not used sub-headings, but there are tons of h2 headings on the page.

    What could be the issue?

Also, does it have problems reading text on Rev Slider? I know it did before, but I thought that issue was resolved?

  • Hello,
I have exactly the same problems.

DO they not answer the posts here? I’m getting it on each page. It’s listing problems that do not exist and it also counts the keywords the wrong amount of times. I’m not even sure if it is recognising anything in the images.
Anyone have any advice on using Yoast in the media library?

In order to better assist you, we’ll need more information.

    • Can you please show us some example URLs where the issue remains occurring for you so that we can take a look at them?
    • Are you using any page builder plugin to add the content? If yes, which one?
    • What’s the focus keyword?

    Hello Md

This happens on the majority of pages actually. The website in question is https://londoncreativedesigns.com
I am using Visual Composer for all the pages.
The thing that comes up is that the keyword is not mentioned in the first paragraph, when it is. It often says there is no meta description when there is.

Also, unsure of how the Yoast works with the media library. Can you explain?

The focus keyword not in first paragraph warning is often thrown out if there is an HTML element, code, image, or whitespace around the keyword which is affecting Yoast’s ability to scan for it. Can you please switch to classical or code view and inspect the post and check if there’s anything above the first paragraph?

Also, the Yoast SEO plugin only analyses the default WordPress content areas. It will not recognize texts in custom fields or other plugin/theme content boxes as well as those contained in widgets. This doesn’t mean though that Google won’t be able to crawl them. Google will still crawl them it’s just that our plugin isn’t capable of analyzing them.

So, what you’re saying is that your plugin does not work on my site at all? Please do check! Every page starts the same way – with a Rev slider. This is quite standard for WP sites. So, surely it accommodates for Rev slider?
Why does it work on some pages, but not on others? It doesn’t work on a single portfolio page.

Also, on most of the pages, it says that no meta description has been filled in but there clearly is a full meta description

Another major issue is that when I type in the keyword, it only recognises part of the word and not the full word.
For example, look at the attached screenshot. None of these issues are true!
The keyword is there several times, there is a meta description and the keyword is obviously not “compan”

And there are also several pages which say there are no images on, but there clearly are. These seem like quite rookie mistakes?

While we are not saying that Yoast SEO plugin won’t work on your site, we do know that there are some bugs in our plugin which in some cases cause the issue to detect the focus keywords in the first paragraph, consecutive sentence, and others when using Visual Composer. Please, refer to these following bug report:

In regards to the consecutive sentence, sub-heading, and other issues you’re experiencing, unfortunately, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

Unfortunately I think telling me to upgrade to premium is not really an acceptable answer! I am sure the same issues will arise. This is NOT local. I have tested it out on 7 other sites now. It is ever since Yoast 6.0 came out.

It is nothing to do with visual composer too.

It says errors such as “no meta description”, which is all Yoast. Plus, it picks up the wrong keyword. For example, if the keyword is “blog posts”, it says “the keyword bl was found 0 times”.

    There are clear errors.
