• Hi, i have the pro version and i believe the latest version of wordpress screwed up my settings. I had a custom menu starting with

    * Dashboard ( “My Sites” and “Home” were hidden)
    * Campaigns
    * Reports
    * Profile

    Now i cant seem to remove the sub menu “My Sites'” or “Home” without them being automatically reinserted on save. If i delete the dashboard menu all together i can no longer access the wp-admin due to insufficient permissions.

    Any idea what could be causing me to no longer hide “My Sites’ and “Home”

    Thanks!

    I’ve responded to your email.

    A brief summary for forum users:

    • You can’t delete default menus like “My Sites”, but you can hide them.
    • The “Home” menu is special because WP redirects to that page on login. If you get rid of it, WP still tries to redirect you to the same page.
    • You can’t access a hidden page, so you get a permissions error.
    • To fix the error, use Peter’s Login Redirect to change the login redirect.
