Problem with WordPress.org profile/user name

When I view my profile here on the WordPress.org forum the url has my user name with a “-“. For reference:

http://wordpress.org/support/profile/big-bagel

But when I view my normal profile (the non-forumy one) the url has my user name with a “+”. For reference:

http://profiles.wordpress.org/users/big+bagel/

I wouldn’t normally care what gets used as the slug for my user name, but it seems to cause some minor problems. The most prominent being that when I try to submit edits to my non-forum profile it redirects to:

http://profiles.wordpress.org/users/big-bagel/

which of course brings up a white screen of death.

I think it has to do with me using a space in my user name when I signed up. It’s not a huge problem (I can still post in the forum and edit my forum profile), but if a tech overlord happens to see this and have a few seconds of free time I’d love to get that fixed. Maybe killing the offending space in my user name?
