@senchibald did you do any plugin update around April 20th?
I just install ‘Webpushr’ on 19/04/2020, which again does not coincide with termination of work.
@senchibald sometimes effects take place after few hours, try to disable Webpushr for me. then test the share-count if responsive.

Sorry for late reply. I noticed you have turned share counts OFF.
Can you try keeping only this plugin active just to check if this makes any difference and some other plugin is causing conflict? After deactivating all other plugins, refresh share counts cache once from the Miscellaneous section and refresh the webpage where share counts disappeared.

The plugin is activated, but it constantly shows me the share number 0. At the bottom of each article there is a code from Facebook showing a real number of shares. I did what you asked and the same thing happens.
If you are using shortcode [TheChamp-Sharing] to display social share bar in the left sidebar, you need to use “count” and “total_shares” attributes to show number of shares with the icons as mentioned at the link http://support.heateor.com/social-sharing-shortcode-and-widget/
