Hello. I have a problem with the permissions on the folders inside uploads created by this plugin. On plugin activation it says thta the folder attachments is not writable. I saw that they were created by apache user. I changed the owner to match the owner of the ftp account but with permissions 755 the plugin still says that the folder attachments is not writable.

    Can you help me?

    Best regards.

    Hi Miguel,
There is a possibility this is a false alarm, have you checked whether the plugin actually works or not? I am not sure if the FTP account should be the owner, because it’s actually PHP that needs to write to the folders. I am not an expert at this, but apache sounds right.
Alternatively, you could try to create the attachment folder manually before installing the plugin, to see whether that fixes the issue.

Is this the only place you’re having issues with this? Normally if regular woocommerce uploads work, these folders also should have the correct permissions automatically.

Let me know and I’ll do my best to help!

Hello. Thanks for the quick reply. I could not test in that server because it was a production server, but i installed the plugin to another wordpress in the same server and after some testing the problem was php safe mode. Turning it off and the plugin could write to that folder again.

If you allow me the suggestion. You could put in the read first post that php safe mode can cause this particular issue, because its something a little tricky and not so obvious to find.

    Thanks again 🙂

    Best regards.
