  • For me it’s an issue with the SEO titles only, due to the change in field with the later versions, no problem with the Meta Descriptions, so we might be able to help each other out in that case?

    When you say, your using the shorttags, are you actually placing them under the Yoast SEO Title and Description areas itself, rather than using code to filter? You will find that the title gets stripped before hand, but the description doesn’t. Therefore those filters works differently on each, which is annoying.

    ps: Have you tried to using the full tags <!–:en–>Your English Meta Description<!–:–><!–:fr–>Your French Meta Description<!–:–> instead of the short tags [:en][:fr], etc?

    It was a problem with apostrophes. Maybe it can be useful for you too.
