In IE8 the clickable area (where the hand appears) is right on the boundary of the photos.
In FF4 the area extends to the sides as you said.
Image information in FF shows the image size 300×194, while the source code show it 210×136.
You need to contact Graphpaper press, who you got this theme from for support. Their theme seems to have a browser issue.
The problem persists, however, in any other theme. I have just checked reverting to the original theme.
BTW, it also renders incorrectly in Safari.
Disable all plugins. Still a problem?
Yes. There are no plugins currently active. Perhaps there is a “reset” option somewhere? I haven’t started blogging yet so I loose nothing if I reset it all.
oddly enough, the problem persists even after re-installing wordpress (using wordpress reset plugin).
I used your image as a test here, http://www.ourexcellentadventures.com/ – I will leave it up until you see it. Note that in FF it has the correct boundaries.
That tells us something but I don’t know what. How are you resizing to make the smaller image? I just entered 300×194 into the html.
Hi, I checked it at the site you said. True, it displays well there. It is nothing to do with resizing.
I re-installed wordpress with the reset plugin. The problem persisted. So I went ahead and uninstalled everything manually, erased the whole directory, and reinstalled. Once again, I put an image, this time already small and without any resizing, and the problem is still there. It just seems unreal, I don’t know what’s wrong.
It is because the alignment is align center. Either left or right there is no problem.
my gosh, thank you so much. If I insert the image “centered” the problem appears. But if I insert without any alignment, and then just select the image and click align to center, then there is no problem. It was making me go crazy. It must be one little bug.
Thank you!
