Problem with file permission and saving data

    Hi,

    When I try to save the script configuration I get the following error: Could not install the plugin. Don’t have file permission.

    I changed the permissions to full (777) for the /wp-mail-smtp directory and subdirectories ( – R ). But that didn’t help. I tried changing chown, but that didn’t work either.

    So what could be the reason for this error?
