Problem with Category Menu functionality

Hi WP Community, I am using the Question and Answer Forum plugin which works well. I have a small problem to resolve before my site goes “live”. Briefly this plugin allows users to post questions (as WP posts) and users to answer them (as WP comments). The question posters can choose a category from a drop down list.

The plugin provides a page listing all the questions with a category drop down menu which should select all the questions in the category clicked and list them. Clicking a category in this drop down takes you to this url: http://ed-c3d08tnv0fww:70/?cat=6&post_type=question which does not exist instead of this url: http://ed-c3d08tnv0fww:70/wordpress/category/puttingtips/?post_type=question which lists the questions in this category correctly.

All other functionality is correct. I am building this site on a Bitnami Stack.

Unfortunately the author no longer supports this plugin. My thanks in advance.
