    For everyone.

hmmm… I just tried posting some comments here: https://albertifoto.altervista.org/gondole/ and here https://albertifoto.altervista.org/bar-la-giara/#comment-26670 and it worked every time (feel free to delete them). And both times the page was cached.

Also, every time a comment is approved, (which is automatic on this site), the cache for that page is cleared.

Yes, it works now. It doesn’t work when I install the theme update, in this case I have to manually reset the cache or wait 8 hours.

The website seem to use the theme wp-portfolio. Is it the version on the WordPress theme repository, or the premium one?

    Is the free version.

If you give me your email I send Captcha plugin so you try it.

Now you can download new version of the BWS Captcha plugin: https://it.wordpress.org/plugins/captcha-bws/

I did new tests and saw that we must to empty the WP-Optimize cache, otherwise the new comments don’t show up on the screen. I set the cache duration to 8 hours.
However now you can download Captcha plugin and do the tests.

I did further tests and came to the conclusion that the WP-Optimize plugin cache conflicts with that of the server. So I disabled the plugin cache and kept the server cache active and now everything works.

    Hi @steve92,

Thanks for updating us. Do you know what type of cache is setup on the server?

    Marc.

Is the altervista.org server, the name is CloudFlare average protection level by default.

You can make an free site for your tests whith altervista.org if you want.

Thank you. We use CloudFlare on our sites as well, and don’t have any issues with the cache. So I’ll take a look at Captcha-bws to see what the issues could be.

The problem was not given to me only with Captcha but also with the number of messages the guests write.
As I said, I closed the WP-Optimize plugin cache and I keep CloudFlare. I think they were in conflict.

If I were you I would remove the cache option from WP-Optimize because now the web server has a cache of its own, so yours is not needed, besides your plugin would be less heavy.

    Hi Steve,

Most webservers do not have a cache of their own, and when they do, it often complements the caching solution that WP-Optimize and similar plugins offer.
And as I say, we use both WP-Optimize and Cloudflare on our own website, with great results.

I’ll mark this topic as resolved, as you’ve found a solution that fits your needs.

    Best wishes,

    Marc.
