problem with accessing other scripts in subdomains under WordPress

I am using WordPress as the primary website/content manager on many domains. I have several other scripts that I want to run in subdomains with links in the wordpress menu, such as store, links directory, etc. An example of the problem I’m having is the links script on 101steps.info. I can access the directory at 101steps.info/links/ or links.101steps.info. But I can’t get into the admin at 101steps.info/links/admin/ When I try I am redirected to the wp front page. I assume it is an .htaccess issue, but I can’t find anything obvious in .htaccess and I’m no expert on it or on php. Advice?
