Problem when used with W3 Total Cache

    When set to yearly sitemaps for posts, I get 404’s for all of the yearly sitemaps. The other sitemaps load fine.

    If I change settings to use a single sitemap for all posts, the posts sitemap then works.

    The problem seems to originate from the naming convention of having an extra . in the filename, i.e. sitemap-posttype-post.2016.xml (which I think is clashing with W3 Total Cache).

    That’s an interesting phenomenon. Thanks for reporting it.

    I added a tag for W3 Total Cache to this thread in the hope that Frederick can say something meaningful about it…
