Problem uploading images from a different computer after wordpress set it up
-
Hi.. the school Im working at has its site run by wordpress. The guy formerly managing it has left, and now Im in charge of updating the site. However, when I login from the site to access wordpress from my computer (as administrator), I cannot upload images – get the message The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/sites/customers/intlschool/_wp/wp-content/uploads/2008/02.
107The site was set up by wordpress on a remote server.
I tried sending the files via ftp using filezilla, but although its sent to any folder I choose, when I type the url in the browser, I get a message ‘page cannot be found.’ Also, when I try to access the wp-content/uploads folder which is set for uploads in the settings, I get a message ‘Forbidden You do not have permission to access /wp-content/uploads on this server
Apache 2.2.2 (Fedora) Server at wp.<website name> Port 80′Also – when I tried changing file attributes ie CMOD to 777 on the wp-content/uploads folder using filezilla, it said ‘you do not have permission to change these settings.’ Current CMOD is 775 on the wp-content/uploads folder.
Consequently, I cannot upload any files or images in my pages/posts, although text entries work fine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.Jhansy
