Problem uploading / database

Hello All! Thanks in advance for any pointers! You may keep me from ripping all my hair out.

I made a site with a customized Bones theme and it is functioning well on my local.

I have installed WP on the remote site using the providers easy-install (have tried all other methods too).

I have placed my customized theme into the themes folder and it is recognized by name and activated over Dashboard>Appearance>Themes. (Have tried the zipped upload too)

The Problem
Though the background images from the customized themes images-folder appear, none of the content ie pages or css shows up. None of the pages, menus etc have been updated…

I’m using the msyql values my host has provided for the wp-config.php (and have tried various variations according to other solutions I’ve searched for.)

So I’m assuming the database is not being found or I have missed something (maybe earlier on in the process) to connect correctly to my custom theme folder.
