Problem updating t0 3.1

    I am getting the following message when trying to auto-update:

    Update WordPress
    Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.1.zip…

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3096066 bytes) in /home/kepstein/public_html/arielle/wp-includes/class-http.php on line 1408

    How can I fix this?

    Ken,

    You may fix it by increasing memory_limit for php to 64M. Contact hosting support if you’re not sure how to increase it for your website. Also, you may need to update manually if auto-update will fail. For this you just need to download latest wordpress and upload all the default files (except wp-config.php) to your wordpress directory on server.
