Problem installing WP locale on a Mac

Hi

I’m trying to install a locale WP on a Mac.

I installed MAMP and everything looks ok (phpmyadmin, database creation etc…)

When i try to connect to install i receive a white page with some characters in the left upper corner (something like “?/a7p” or something like this). If i try to connect to some html files (i.e. readme.html everything is ok…)

How about that?
