• I am hosting a website. My server is 000webhost.com and it’s hosting my website for free.

    Apache ver. 2.2.13 (Unix)
    PHP version 5.2.*
    MySQL ver. 5.0.81-community
    phpMyAdmin 2.11.4

^^ these are the versions i’m using.

I’m a naive in all these things so I literally read each line and tried installing. Being a free user, I wasnt allowed to use Fantastico DeLuxe. So I tried installing WordPress 3.1 manually. I altered the wp-config.php file correctly and successfully uploaded all the file in the root directory i.e. inside public_html. However, when I try to install WordPress then i get the an error message that says something about the file wp-settings.

I even went through this thread:
phpmyadmin 2.11: where are the user privileges? (3 posts) in this forum. But it wasnt of any help.

Following the detailed WordPress instructions, I’ve got as far as creating a new database in MySQL and creating a new user in PhpMyAdmin:

“Click the Home icon in the upper left […], then click Privileges.”

However, when I click on the Home icon in phpMyAdmin(version 2.11.4), I can’t see Privileges anywhere. I must be missing something really obvious, but I’d really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction!

I tried doing all the setup correctly about 2-3 times but it was all futile. Can any 1 please help me?? How can I do it manually? Any ideas greatly welcomed.

^^^cant anyone help me in this regard??

    reazon1n1,

The same answer as in your other thread:

WordPress should work fine with 000webhost. Try to re-upload all the wordpress files without wp-config.php file. Re-create database, database username and password for it. Access wordpress and follow the installation guide. Use database server from your 000webhost dashboard instead of localhost.

There’s nothing you need to do with phpmyadmin there.
