I have used the following shortcode to successfully display a grid of PDF thumbnails:
    [mla_gallery post_mime_type=application/pdf post_parent=all link=file mla_viewer=true columns=5 size=full orderby=date order=desc attachment_category=newsletters-2019]

However, when I click on one of the thumbnails, a lightbox is displayed which is blank except for a link at the bottom labelled “The Image”. Clicking on this link displays the PDF in a browser window. How can I display the PDF directly in the browser window without going to the lightbox as an intermediate step?
I am using cpothemes theme Transcend. Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for your question and for including the complete source text of your [mla_gallery] shortcode; very helpful.

I tried your shortcode on my test system using one of the WordPress default themes. When I click on one of the gallery thumbnails the document is immediately displayed in the browser with no intermediate lightbox step. I also tried the newsletter page you referenced and do not see the intermediate lightbox step (using Microsoft Edge).

It appears that the lightbox “feature” has been added by your theme. I suggest you contact the theme vendor to see if there’s a way to disable that feature.

I am marking this topic resolved because MLA is working properly and the issue appears to be with your theme. If you get an answer from the theme vendor that requires changes in the gallery display HTML, post an update here and I will give you whatever help I can. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.
