[Resolved] Problem after removing sidebar

    Hi All,

I’m using simple-forum on my site, and was able to remove the sidebar by following some instructions I found here.

The problem is the text still doesn’t extend to the end.

    Here’s the page
    http://www.featuredcontentonline.com/forum/

    I’m using the wp-genius 1.0 theme.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the text full page on just this one page??

    Thanks everyone for your help.

    Norm

The easiest approach would be to create a custom page template – complete with unique content and contentleft classes. Then apply the new template to this page and then edit your theme’s CSS to adjust the width of content and contentleft.

You know sometimes I make things harder than they should be.

I just went to the forum page in the dashboard and on the right side there’s a drop down to use either the default theme page template, or a template with no sidebars.

I chose the no sidebar template, hit update, and it’s fixed.

Thanks esmi for pointing me in the right direction.

I’m really new at this so seemingly obvious and simple things to most folks are 2 day troubleshooting affairs for me.

Anyway, thanks again. I learned something today.
