Problem after adding Google Webmaster Tools verification under General Settings

    Hi,

    I tried to add the verification code for the Webmaster Tools.
    Under Yoast SEO -> General -> Webmaster Tools there is a field to enter verification code.

    I accidentally entered plain text instead of a <>code. And now its being displayed on all pages as a single line above the header image.
    I emptied the field and saved again. Replaced it by the correct verification code and its now verified but I can get rid of the line with the first text.

    Please help me to find where I can get rid of it. I tried everything I could come up with. Please help !!!
