Problem about creating a subdomain

Hello,
i need you help, because i m try to create a subdomain to my website, and i can’t get clear information about it.
here the case:
I have a wordpress/woocommerce lets say :https://www.mywebsite.com
and i would like to create a subdomain https://subdomain.mywebsite.com
So i create this subdomain name on my https://www.mywebsite.com to the hosting console like:
https://www.mywebsite.com
—https://subdomain.mywebsite.com
Then put a new install wordpress folder (public_html) inside the public_html of my actual wordpress/woocommerce
Remake the public_html of the new folder as subdomain.
But after that i m totally lost, know what to do. What is the next step?
How to make https://subdomain.mywebsite.com live?
The idea is to have:
https://www.mywebsite.com = wordpress/woocommerce
and
https://subdomain.mywebsite.com = another wordpress installation
