Problem

how to prevent my wordpress from auto-closing html tags and to show them correctly as they are written..
i want to post some irc logs which are syntaxed as < nick > something,he said.. but wordpress gets it as a tag and doesn’t post it..
generally my problem is how to disable the html in the new articles..
