    Hello,

I upgrade from wp 1.5 to wp 1.5.1.1 this morning by following the http://wordpress.org/support/topic/33189 method. After the upgrade, (and execute /wp-admin/upgrade.php) all the posts with a private status were visible on the front and archive pages & i had to put them in “draft” to hide them again.

    Any help ?

i know that, but the fact is that they are visible like any other public posts.

Did you log out and clear your cache? Please paste a link of a private post that is visable so we can check it.

okay, that was a problem of refresh due to my host (and not to wordpress) ; i solve it right now.

YES! I mentioned this ‘bug’ too, in another thread, when I upgraded. Its a bit annoying having to have a 2nd webpage open-this time logged in as something less than admin-to know what is visible to non-admins. At least compared to v1.5. If private posts could at least be flagged, that would help…cuz you forget which are private and which aren’t until you go back to the admin page again.

    cheers!

…and I can’t count how many times I’ve cleared my cache since the upgrade, albeit for different reasons. The ‘bug’ (if it is that?) is maintained.

are you sure it’s a bug? If so you can submit it as such and wait for 1.5.1.2 or maybe there’s an easier fix (btw, I’m not saying there will be a 1.5.1.2, but in case there are other bugs maybe)
