Pricing Not Appearing Correctly

    A few days ago, I reviewed my WooCommerce settings and made a couple of changes, although I cannot recall the specifics. However, I have since noticed that the product prices are being calculated incorrectly. While the admin view displays the correct price, when I check in incognito mode, for example, the product price is showing as ₹414.29 ex. 5% GST, instead of the correct ₹435. Furthermore, the incorrect calculation is also being reflected at the checkout stage.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I understand that product prices are displaying incorrectly on your site, correct?

    Checking your Tax Settings, I can see that your site is showing product prices inclusive of tax, however, the setting Display prices during cart and checkout is set to Excluding Tax which is incorrect. Hence, you are seeing the error message below. You can learn more about that here: Display Prices in the Shop.

    Could you please change the setting of Display prices during cart and checkout to Including Tax and see if this resolves the issue here?

    Its been over 12hrs I changed it back also, but still I am seeing the same pricing.

    Hi @dzire2dzine

    I understand that after changing the settings above, the issue still persists.

    Can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if this works?

    If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

    If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

    If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

    There seems to be something wrong, report that was generated after reactivating plugins seems incorrect as I changed the theme to Shoptimizer Child Theme: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/price-based-tax/#post-16597823 (another report from 6 days ago)

    Thanks for sending the system, report.

    Its been over 12hrs I changed it back also, but still I am seeing the same pricing.

    I understand you changed the options display prices during cart and checkout to be including tax, is this correct? However, the price is still showing wrong, please feel free to correct me if I am misunderstanding something.

    Can you clear the site cache to see if that makes a difference? You can also clear the transients under Wp-Admin > WooCommerce > status > tools > clear transients.

    Let us know how that goes.

    Hi I disabled that plugin and checked as well (however I didn’t think that plugin has anything to do, since it only adds new form field at checkout page).

    Hello @dzire2dzine,

    Correct me if I’m wrong, you want the price on a single product page to be formatted like this 100$ ex. 5% GST .

    The way taxes work is per region so it’s expected that the tax will be unknown for a guest customer with no billing or shipping address saved from previous orders.

    However, that doesn’t mean the tax is not working, as you can see below it’s being calculated:

    To achieve this for guests as well, you’ll need to change the default location for customers to either Geolocate or your Store’s address. By doing this, the tax will apply based on the customer’s general geographic location or as if they were located at your store’s address.

    @babylon1999 yes that was the problem, thanks!
    I was using default as “Shop country”, couple of weeks back changed it to Geo, I was having load time problem and by mistake I set it to “no location” by default, since then I was having pricing issue.
