Something is wrong with a specific product in my shop and I can’t find out what. I have lots of products working fine but this one isn’t. The variable is the price as the product is a gift voucher. The first price variation is £10, followed by £20, £30, £40 ecc… If I select £10, fine, no problems, but if I select any other variation/value, the price always shows £10 instead of the selected price. So, the price of the first variation (£10) is always displayed. I compared the product settings with the other working products but I can’t find any differences.
I also tried to create another identical product and the same problem occurred.
Then I tried to duplicate the product but still the same problem.

    Any clues?
Is the problem caused by the fact that the variation is a price and not, for example, a colour?

    Thanks in advance!

    Ellie

ps: the theme I use is called Shopkeeper, Woocommerce.

  • Can you provide a link to the product?

Unfortunately I can’t as the website is not live yet.

Can you please share screenshots of the product, the attributes and a few of the variations?

Also, can you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.

    Hi Hannah,

Thank you for your reply. 😉
I’ve taken some screenshots of the product, attributes and variations. Let me know if you need more.
In regards to the System Status, the page is very long.
Do you need to see a particular section of the page?
(WordPress environment, Server environment, Database, Post type counts, Security, Active plugins, Settings, WC pages, Theme, Templates)

    Thank you again Hannah. 🙂

If you change your theme to storefront does that issue persist? And Hannah did mean all of it. It allows us to see what plugins, themes, templates etc.

Can you include a screenshot after you have selected a different price?

    Hi mtruitt,

    Thank you for your reply.

If I change the theme, will I loose or the customisation and coding that I got done/added by a friend developer?

In the meantime, I’ve uploaded a photo of the product with £30 variation. As you’ll see, I selected £30 but it’s still showing £10.
The strange thing though is that if I add it to the cart, then go to the cart, it shows the voucher as a £30 voucher, as it should.
So the problem is only on the product page…

    Hi ggstuff,

Can you proceed the status section that Hannah requested? and if you change themes to just test it. No you will not lose it. I would change to storefront and test there.

it almost seems like its the theme since its working other wise.

And Hannah did mean all of it.

Oh, gosh, I sound scary when you put it like that. 🙂 We do need the entire system log to help you out – it’s not a problem that it’s long.

    Hi Hannah and mtruitt,

I posted the screenshots but my post “has been held for moderation by our automated system. It will be reviewed within 72 hours.”
    Maybe too many screenshots? 😛
Hopefully it will take less than 72 hours.

Ouch! You definitely triggered one of the filters. It looks like it came through, though – is everything you wanted to share now visible?

    Hi Hannah,

Glad the last message got accepted. 🙂
Those are all the screenshots of the System Status. 😉
    It’s a long page!
It’s strange that that particular product is the only one not working properly, but at the same time, that is the only one where the variable is a price instead of something else.

    Morning all.

Have a you had a nice weekend? 🙂

Have you managed, by any chance, to find something wrong that could be causing the Gift Voucher price problem?

    Hey there Ellie!

If you ever need to share that status again, there’s a button that will let you copy/paste the text version. It’s easier all around than screenshots. 🙂

Most things look fine in the system status log – the only possible red flag is the template overrides, especially those on the single product page:
    http://cld.wthms.co/G34mEh

To rule out any issues with those templates, I recommend temporarily switching the theme to Storefront or Twenty Seventeen as well. Once you’ve done that, test to see if the price is changing correctly – if it is, then you know the problem is coming from the theme or the templates.

If that doesn’t work, I’ve got some more follow up questions for you:

    * Can you please send me a screenshot of the attributes and a few of the variations?
    * Are you using global attributes, or attributes defined on the product? If you’re using one, have you tried using the other?
    * Have you tried a different browser?

    Hi Hannah,

I changed the theme to Twenty Seventeen and the Gift Voucher was working fine, showing the correct prices. So it’s a theme problem?
