• Hi there, thank you for the great plugin. It’s been incredibly reliable and a huge help in keeping things streamlined.

I wanted to report a recent issue that started after the latest update. It looks like when a post that has already been published to LinkedIn is later updated in WordPress, the plugin republishes it on LinkedIn as a new post. Previously published posts shouldn’t be pushed again just because they were edited, so this behavior seems unintended.

Just wanted to bring it to your attention. Thanks again for all your work on this plugin.

    Hi @roxchou,

Thanks for reporting this issue and also for your kind words.

Are you using the classic editor or Gutenberg or something else?

    Thanks!

    Hi @northernbeacheswebsites,

    I’m using the classic editor.

    Thanks!

Thanks for that info. In classic mode, this is what is most tested with the plugin, so it should be ok.

Can you absolutely confirm that if you create a new post, publish it, does the “Do not share…” checkbox not get checked automatically? It should get checked automatically after clicking publish so that on updates it doesn’t share everytime.

Yes, the checkbox does get checked initially. But when we return to edit the post later, it gets reposted to LinkedIn, and when we check the “do not share” box again, it’s no longer checked.

This happened today with a post we originally published a week ago, after making a small edit, it was pushed to LinkedIn again. When we went back to verify the setting, the “do not share” checkbox had been cleared. We manually checked it.

This is a behavior we only recently noticed.

    Hi @roxchou,

Sorry to confirm, if you create a new post now. Exit out of the post, and go back to it, is the checkbox checked or not?

    Thanks,
