• Hello, we are unable to update to version 2.0+ of Ultimate Member for compatibility reasons so we are still using version 1.3.83.

    We would like to update to version 1.3.88 for the PHP 7.1+ compatibility. When we update to version 1.3.88 with the file located on GITHUB, new user notifications no longer appear on the wordpress admin menu and “Shop Manager” can no longer see new users in the users list when they register. Only admin can see new users when using version 1.3.84+

    Did user permissions change with versions 1.3.84 and above?

    Unfortunately we cannot edit our forms correctly with 1.3.83 because of the PHP 7.1+ compatibility issues.

    Hi @biotrace,

    We do not recommend using outdated versions of the plugin due to security reasons, moreover, a lot of issues were fixed in the latest versions, unfortunately, we can’t support very old versions. What compatibility reasons are you referring to? Have you added any customization to the plugin files?

    Regards.

    Hi there, we have updated to version 2.0.31 on our staging site based on your recommendation. After testing the new version for a few hours, we have encountered several issues that are preventing us from going live with the updated plugin.

    1. Admin and Shop Managers are unable to see admin bar in front end regardless of the Ultimate Member user role settings.

    2. No “logged in” users aside from Admin are able to browse the website. Global Site Access is set to “Site accessible to Everyone”. When trying to browse to different pages of the website, it redirects to the “User” page.

    3. While editing a user in the wordpress back end, “Allow use of weak password” doesn’t work. “Require a strong password” is unchecked in settings.

    4. The number indicator for new users “Pending review” no longer appears on the WordPress back end menu. Incompatible with Admin Menu Editor Pro.

    5. Our code snippet to fill in Woocommerce details no longer works:

    add_action ('um_post_registration_save', 'custom_update_profile',99);

    function custom_update_profile ($user_id) {

    	/*$user_id = um_profile_id();*/

    	global $ultimatemember;
    	um_fetch_user( $user_id );

    	$profilefirstname = um_user( 'first_name' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_first_name', $profilefirstname );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_first_name', $profilefirstname );

    	$profilelastname = um_user( 'last_name' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_last_name', $profilelastname );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_last_name', $profilelastname );

    	$profilecompany = um_user( 'company' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_company', $profilecompany );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_company', $profilecompany );

    	$profileaddress1= um_user( 'street_address_1' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_address_1', $profileaddress1 );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_address_1', $profileaddress1 );

    	$address2= um_user( 'street_address_2' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_address_2', $address2 );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_address_2', $address2 );

      	$profilecity= um_user( 'City' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_city', $profilecity);
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_city', $profilecity);

            $profilestate= um_user( 'State' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_state', $profilestate);
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_state', $profilestate);

    	$profilezip_code= um_user( 'post_code' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_postcode', $profilezip_code);
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_postcode', $profilezip_code);

    	$profilecountry= um_user( 'country' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_country', $profilecountry);
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'shipping_country', $profilecountry);

    	$profileemail= um_user( 'user_email' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_email', $profileemail);

    	$profilephone= um_user( 'phone_number' );
    	update_user_meta( $user_id, 'billing_phone', $profilephone);

    	return $user_id;

    	}
