    hi

    my main index has only ONE post per day. I kinda treat it as a single post page. I want to add a “previous post” link on the main index, pointing to the permalink of yesterday’s post.

    however, previous_post() tag doesn’t seem to work inside the main index. how can I do that?

    well summing up, I need to PERMALINK TO YESTERDAY’S POST inside a post, but I need that done in the main index.

    any thoughts on how I could do that appreciated!

    You should be able to use this plugin and narrow the list being shown to one post: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/recent-posts/installation/

    However, this will always link to the previous post, regardless of category. I’m still trying to find a way to link to a previous post within a single category!
