Since upgrading to WordPress 5.2 I have problems creating posts on my website.

    I have:
    (1)disabled plugins
(2)clear cache on my browser (I have tested both chrome and firefox)
    (3)saved the permalinks
    (4)installed the WordPress Classical Editor
(5)installed and ran the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin

after running the health check, it generates the following information about my site:
Your WordPress version is up to date (5.2)
PHP is up to date (7.3.0)
SQL server is up to date
Required and recommended modules are installed
    UTF8MB4 is supported
Your site can communicate securely with other services
    Scheduled events are running
HTTP requests seem to be working as expected
Your site is not set to output debug information
    The REST API is available
    Can communicate with WordPress.org
    Background updates are working
Your site can perform loopback requests

Currently all the plugins except for the “Classical editor” are disabled but I still get the same error when attempting to preview my post
“Oops! That page can’t be found”

Any help to resolve this problem will be much appreciated. I am posting this a second time because the first time, it didn’t appear in the list of recent posts, apologies if it is duplicated.

    Thanks,

    Elena

So the issue you are experiencing is that you can’t preview posts you’ve written before publishing them?

Yes, this is correct, I am not able to preview posts I write before publishing them. I am able to view my previous, published posts without a problem.

    Thanks for your comment.

I have “published” a new “test” post and after doing so, I was able to view the page, i.e. the error message has disappeared. In the past, I was able to “preview” the post without needing to “publish” beforehand. It seems that this is not possible with the recent version of WordPress.
I guess for the time being, I must publish whether the post is a draft or not. The author just needs to take care and make sure, it is labelled “draft” if the post is not complete before leaving the website.

Thanks one more for your input.
