Preview box for embedded link not working

After the last WordPress update, the preview boxes stopped generating for embedded links on my published posts. In the block editor, I often use the WordPress embed to highlight and link relevant posts on my site.

When I am in the block editor, the preview box is generated for the embedded post, however when I go to the published post, the preview box does not appear – only a hyperlink appears.

I would like to have the preview boxes appear on the published post as they did before the update. How do I resolve this? You can see an example of this on this page if you scroll down. The heading reads ‘Should you be interested…’ and where the embed preview box should appear, there is now only a hyperlink.
