• I actually created a WP.org account just to review.
I had to move a site that admittedly could have been pruned stage-side, but given the course the project took that wasn’t really an option. I ran the usual REPLACE queries but was still throwing plugin errors on the target install…essentially the target directory structure wasn’t compatible for some modules given the source installation data in the staging environment. I looked at a couple of options and admittedly was a little skeptical. I, like other users, was disappointed at the file cap and, while understood from a hosting standpoint, did not want to change core config. The description does in fact state the upload_max wouldn’t be a problem and that could be clarified a bit more as the free solution. However, to the devs credit the UI does plainly state to simply install the extension plugin…but that too seemed wonky. Nah…not a problem, nothing to lose. The plugin (and extension) worked perfect for me and I’ll likely fork out for a license for my dev site and have the customers eat the cost for their own plugin upgrade if their migration is over limit. Again it’s just a matter of “how much is my time worth” and I have no problem supporting quality distributions.
