Presubscribe issue

Not sure if this is a bug or not. But if we delete a subscriber but at a later date they wish to re-subscribe they are unable and we get a message “An error has happened while performing a request, please try again later.”. The email is not in the list of subscribers – either as actibve,unsubscribed etc, they have been deleted altogether. I have cleared the browser cache and still get the problem.
