• After using the free version for a while I bought the premium version, but the theme cannot be customized because the validation fails every time. At first, “outofthebox” offered support via email, but then they stopped. It is still not working. Their website claims that they offer refunds if you are not satisfied, but I did not receive one, and they also stopped replying to my emails. It is a shame that they do not stand behind their own product and hat they do not keep their word…

    I use Shopstar! (and other themes from outtheboxthemes) for about 12 years and have had no issues.
    Before installing Shopstar you have to activate a random theme (go to appearance and click on themes and choose one). After you have done this, you delete the free version of Shopstar!
    Now you go to themes again and click on ADD THEME. Upload the .zip file from the premium version of Shopstar! For validation: use the ID-…….number without ID. Now it should be working.

    It’s unfortunately not that simple. The validation server of “outofthebox” is not reachable. I discussed that with my provider, they had no issues on their side. As I said, there is zero support from “outofthebox” and they don’t refund the money, altough their website says: “

    We offer a 14 day money back guarantee on all of our themes. We will provide a full refund in the following cases:

    • If the purchase didn’t satisfy your needs.
    • If you had technical difficulty using the theme that could not be resolved by support.”
