pre-sales bundle questions

    Dear Ultimate Member,

    Just came back from my 2nd disappointing experience (first time Ultra Users crap support and no updates and now) Peepso. (Peepso great fast support, but know exactly what you need before you buy!!!)
    They do not offer a refund so to prevent me from running into the same trouble the 3rd time, I better ask some more questions in advance!

    So here goes:

    Community media with categories & Tags
    I want to build a community platform, where all types of users can post images and videos into posts with categories & Tags to it! (So I mean WP posts and NOT just in the activity stream…this was my Peepso problem btw) This is necessary for the users to find dedicated media quickly and organised.

    Showing admin panel= NO GO!
    Now I saw that UM only has the ability to show the admin panel for users to make a image post with no option for categories & Tags. For me this is NOT an option, because showing the admin panel confuses users im my opinion. So I want to use this Frontend upload plugin: https://codecanyon.net/item/frontend-publishing-pro/8517990 and let a developer insert this into the user profile menu bar (so when the “post button” is clicked a form with upload image, upload video, title categories, tags and description shows up.) The videos will be deleted to prevent hosting floods after uploaded to all social media networks incl youtube)

    My question:

    1. Can the UM add-ons (like, rate, share, tags etc.) be used on these created posts or are they only used within the activity stream of UM?

    2. Is it possible to show buttons: “Photos” and “Videos” in the user profile menu bar that (i.e. when clicked the video button) all uploaded videos show up in a grid with excerpt texts including all rating, likes etc with the User profile (incl user menu bar) showing on top? And when clicked all comments show as well together with ratings, likes etc.?

    …I have more…but that’s it for now..

    Hi, You are asking questions that appear to be related to paid extensions. This is the free support board for the Ultimate Member plugin, not its paid extensions which would give the functionalities you are interested in.

    Hi Boris thanx for your reply,
    I asked these questions, because I want to buy the add-ons bundle, I thought that Pro support is only for when you’ve already bought the bundle.

    I also saw (later) a pre-sales question option on UM’s website and asked the same questions but they replied this:

    1. That is not possible I am afraid. UM does not have front end posting capabilities for regular WP posts at this time.

    2. That is not possible either I am afraid. This would require a developer to create their own extension for UM.

    So I’m a little confused now…

    Are the options of the Paid add-on bundle likes, ratings, comments, myCRED badges etc. working on regular posts also or ONLY on the activity stream (chats) within UM (off course when my developer already added the user front end post option)

    I have to know this because I need to inform my developers what to customize!

    I understand. Hmm, strange…Calum should have been able to answer that. You probably overwhelmed him with too many questions.

    Anyway, if you are referring to the Social Activity plugin and whether as to it only relates to posts in the activity stream, I would then think that it only pertains to those posts, but I don’t know for sure since that extension is a paid extension.

    Too bad there is no video material of how all stuff works….I’ve send it to the developers so they can have a look if this is useful for me buying it!
